Spring is in the air….finally!!!

After a very cold February in NYC it is March and you can feel that Spring is just around the corner. To kick off the month I got outside and went for a gorgeous weighted walk with ALL of my Omorpho weighted gear on - my pants, tank, long sleeve, and vest. It is a total of 10lbs! It’s a great way to get a little extra work in while going for a walk on a beautiful day, it adds up fast I’m telling you! I have been using RMS make up for as long as I have been teaching, so a VERY long time. Her products are amazing and I love this new lip color as it changes for each person who wears it leaving a subtle stain that lasts for hours. It’s a non makeup makeup look. RMS was at the beginning of cleaning up our beauty products and I can’t recommend this enough!

My favorite part of my job is getting recommendations from clients and this is one of them! If you’re looking for show to watch between episodes of The White Lotus, this is it! It’s a feel good, funny, yet sad, yet pretty darn true story of life. I stumbled across this brand while shopping at one of my favorite health food stores in the Hamptons. They make easy and delicious mixes of baked goods, pizza doughs, etc. I have tried many of them now and would recommend! Nice to have on hand when you’re in the mood to bake but don’t want to put in much effort.

I had the pleasure of meeting Dr. Kalaichandran and listening to her speak at a private dinner a few months ago. In this book she shares her journey of healing herself while also being a practicing MD. If you’ve ever felt like you’re on a wild goose chase with your own health, this book will make you feel seen and heard.

After years of fancy, expensive fashion sneakers, I have finally had to come to terms with a more sensible sneaker. Income, New Balance sneakers. These are so ugly they’re cool and are a great neutral color to go with all kinds of things. Not to mention, my feet and knees are feeling better in them! Highly recommend if you’re in a similar situation! Not to mention, they’re much cheaper than my fancy old ones!

Adding in rebounding to my workouts has been my first step into jumping/higher impact work since incurring my knee injury. This is a GREAT low impact way of jumping. There are SO many benefits of this kind of exercise! Detoxing/flushing your lymph system, building bone density, working your cardiovascular system, makes you engage your core, improves your circulation, releases endorphins and is so fun!

This recipe is SO easy and so good. I love that it incorporates cabbage as cabbage is an under eaten veggie in my opinion that is packed with good for you nutrients. Buy it pre washed and chopped and this meal is literally made in less than 15 minutes. Perfect for a quick week night meal. I’ve used this blog a lot for inspiration and recommend you do too!

I can’t do tote bags anymore unfortunately. They kill my upper back and make it ache/spasm. I have been on the hunt for a good looking backpack that is functional yet chic. This nylon YSL backpack was a total splurge but totally fits the bill. I can be a mom and pilates instructor but also not look like a college kid. If this is you, I’d start here!

I am always looking for clothes to teach in that aren’t tight but also look good. I founds these toile pants and they’re so cute! They are comfy, have a unique fit and are great for wearing from the studio to the street. I paired them with a navy ribbed long sleeve and it’s the perfect spring uniform.

While recovering from my knee injury I’ve gotten really into weighted walks with all of my Omorpho gear. I love pairing the pants, tank, long sleeve, and vest for a full body experience totaling almost 8 pounds. Their clothes are cut for women’s bodies and athletics so they are very functional.
